what is 24hr cold brew coffee?

We take freshly roasted coffee, grind it and brew it 5-30 gallons at a time for 24 hours straight, without any heat.  This produces a very concentrated beverage with milder acidity, and intense flavor and sweetness. You can utilize this concentrate in many ways, but the most common is serve it over ice, cut with cold, filtered water at a ratio that is most pleasing to your palate.

The coffee concentrate can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.  This is very handy for a quick cup or to use in all kinds of fun, unique ways!

Ghostlight Coffee serves ready-to-drink 24hr. cold brew on tap at our coffeehouse.

Starting on May 1st, we will also offer growler fills of concentrate, so you can keep it at your home or office.

caffè agitato.
4-5 oz. Cold Brew
6 oz. Milk
1-2 oz. Simple Syrup (or flavored syrup)
In a cocktail shaker, briskly shake & serve over ice.

Variations: Try a dash of orange bitters or some cinnamon & nutmeg.

baking. When baking with chocolate, replace a small amount of the liquid in the recipe with cold brew concentrate.  This will intensify the chocolate flavor, adding some depth to the recipe.  We love this recipe by The Minimalist Baker.  We use cold brew in place of the “strong brewed coffee” in the cake.  We also use a touch in the frosting.  Delightful!
